Kitchen Remodel

Well crap.

I got a call from our cabinet guy that said our cabinets were ready so I started tearing out our old ones this Saturday. Pulling the cabinets down went fine it was that dang soffit (sp?). To start the soffit was framed in with 2x4's like expected but they put plywood on top of that before adding the sheetrock. That made everything harder. Then, once I got the first piece removed I take a look in there and see tons of wires and HVAC. Crap, Crap, Crap.

That's just on the first wall. So what's behind wall number 2...Plumbing!!!

Luckily that is just an exhaust line. Really, none of this is a huge deal. It's just going to slow us down and cost us a couple extra hundred dollars.

OH, don't forget to notice the totally safe wiring job where our vent hood was.

So without further delay, here is some pictures of our kitchen and our progress.

Gigawatt Media

Well, I did get a job designing and installing audio visual stuff for Macy's. It's pretty much done already but I had fun doing it. There was some troubleshooting to do at the end but it went pretty well overall. I also made a website for it at www.gigawattmedia.com
I'm not sure how much more work I will get but hopefully I can get some more because I really enjoyed it.
