Kitchen Remodel

Well crap.

I got a call from our cabinet guy that said our cabinets were ready so I started tearing out our old ones this Saturday. Pulling the cabinets down went fine it was that dang soffit (sp?). To start the soffit was framed in with 2x4's like expected but they put plywood on top of that before adding the sheetrock. That made everything harder. Then, once I got the first piece removed I take a look in there and see tons of wires and HVAC. Crap, Crap, Crap.

That's just on the first wall. So what's behind wall number 2...Plumbing!!!

Luckily that is just an exhaust line. Really, none of this is a huge deal. It's just going to slow us down and cost us a couple extra hundred dollars.

OH, don't forget to notice the totally safe wiring job where our vent hood was.

So without further delay, here is some pictures of our kitchen and our progress.

  1. It's always harder and takes longer than you ever anticipate! I always think my projects will be simple and then they turn out to be very complicated! Great job with the pictures! Where in the world did ya'll move everything to?

  2. You'll see where everything is when I get the next set of pictures up. It's a mess.
